This is the Book of Job in Modern Greek. This is the story of Job, a servant of God who was beset [overwhlemed] with serious problems caused by Satan. The advice of his friends is interesting, but Job did not deserve what happened to Him. The book is the story of how he dealt with the serious tragedies in his life. It is sometimes thought that the book of Job is hard to date. But his friends noted in the very book have their genealogies listed, and they lived close to the time of Abraham.
The book of Job is part of the Old Testament and is usually found right before the book of Psalms. This is the Edition of 1872. This text follows the standard Received Text of the Historic Church. [Obviously, this follows the Hebrew Text and comes from the Second Rabbinic Bible of Ben Chayyim of 1525, which is the standard received text of the Old Testament, and which is also the authentic text used by Jewish scholars]. This translation was made directly from the authentic Hebrew Text.
